Ayurvedic Food
As the name suggests - our food is cooked according to Ayurveda's diet and nutrition principle of including six tastes in every meal to balance your body, mind and emotions. We are aware that each person's innate mind-body constitution requires them to eat more of a certain taste and/or less of another however we work on the basis that everyone should have six tastes in every meal. We have therefore devised a a menu that allows you to sit in or take away food that includes wonderful ayurvedic herbs and spices that suits all doshas or as we would call it "tridoshic". The menu is simple but addresses all the above.
Food is cooked with seasonal vegetables that mostly come (when possible) from local allotments in and around the area which is more than what most big chain restaurants or Supermarkets give you.
We are happy knowing you are eating at least one meal a day that provides you a balanced diet. By balance we do not mean only Ayurveda's "6 tastes" but also the conventional stipulated "5 a day". In fact all this is available to you at a reasonable price.
